The frames for the rear are complete. The holes need to be opened up a little bit and then I can attach them. I’m still waiting to see how the finish turns out – I may go with another coat of the Birchwood Casey stuff. It is looking pretty good, but it will darken over the next few days. I used a flash in some of the pictures below and it doesn’t quite do the finish justice. Next to fabric in real light they look quite good. Once they stop “Sweating” I’ll finish them with some wax which will darken them a little bit more. They should cinch down nice and tight to the fabric once I get the screws in them.
Notice the slight radius around the port – it’s a subtle but nice touch.
